Hospitality on Campus
Welcome to the November edition of  Hospitality On Campus, the newsletter that keeps you up to date with all our latest news and events. Please click here for a pdf version

Coffee, Coffee, Coffee
Hospitality at Bath is currently reviewing its supply chain to ensure we receive the best quality, ethically sourced, value for money products. Coffee is the top selling product on Campus across our outlets and it is therefore important we gather our customer's views when considering changes to our product offers. What has the greatest influence on you when it comes to buying coffee?  Is it the ethical actions of the coffee company? Price? Brand? Or is it simply down to the taste and quality?
Later this month we will be releasing a questionnaire to find out our customer’s views. This will be available on our website, www.HAatbath.co.uk

Taster Day 4th December
On the 4th December we have invited a range of coffee companies, which include our present supplier and leading high street brands, for a tasting day. You will get a chance to taste a sample of coffees and give your views. You even get the chance to quiz the suppliers on their coffee. The tasting day will be in the Claverton Rooms, please keep an eye on our website for the times as these are yet to be confirmed.

Fireworks, 8th November
This year’s fireworks display will take place on Saturday 8th November between 6pm - 10pm, with the firework display starting at 8pm. November Healthy Recipe
Salmon & ginger fishcakes

Ingredients
500g skinned salmon fillet
4cm piece ginger, very finely chopped
4 spring onions, finely chopped
1 tsp sunflower oil
1 medium-hot red chilli, deseeded and finely chopped
2 tsp caster sugar
1 tsp Thai fish sauce
1 tbsp lime juice
1 tbsp rice vinegar
1/2 cucumber
1 small yellow pepper, deseeded and cut into long, thin strips
1 small carrot, cut into thin strips
12 cherry tomatoes, halved
Bunch of fresh coriander, leaves picked

1. Put the chilli, sugar, fish sauce, lime juice and vinegar into a screw-top jar and shake well. Set aside. Halve the cucumber, then slice each piece into long, thin strips. Toss the cucumber, pepper, carrot and tomatoes together in a bowl.

2. Chop the salmon until you have a coarse, mince-like mixture. Put into another bowl with the ginger and onions. Season. Mix together and divide into 8. Using slightly wet hands, shape into 8 fishcakes.

3. Heat the oil in a large, non-stick frying pan over a medium heat. Cook the fishcakes for 11/2 minutes each side, until lightly golden and cooked.

4. Toss the dressing and coriander leaves through the salad. Divide between 4 plates and top each with 2 fishcakes.
