Welcome to the November edition of Accommodation & Hospitality on Campus Newsletter.
Turning Leaf...
The results of our Hospitality online survey were compiled in May 2009. Since then our
team of dedicated staff has been working hard to fix the issues raised.
Here are some of the headline results and actions in our “You said... We did...”
summary.
Claverton Rooms
You said... our food menu was poor quality and you wanted more vegetarian and healthy
options.
We did… introduce a new vegetarian menu, with higher nutritional value, offering quality
food.
You said… our service was slow.
We did… open two new serving areas with the Vegetarian Bar and Deli counter.
You said… our coffee tasted bad.
We did… change suppliers and introduce Tiki coffee as your preferred choice.
Level 1
You said… our portion sizes and service were great but didn’t like the lack of variety or
quality.
We did… provide three improved menus offering international, traditional English and fast
food.
You said… our food was too expensive.
We did… offer daily food promotion ‘specials’ for £2.25, salad box for £2.50 or noodles for
£2.00 (£1.50 during November 2009).
Parade Bar
You said… you need food to be available from 11am – 10pm week nights
and 12 noon – 10pm weekends.
We did… extend our food service times and opening hours.
You said… you want to see Mexican food and Sunday Roast back on the menu.
We did… re-introduce your favourite food promotions.
You said… our food menu was ordinary and lacking in variety or quality.
We did… extend the menu to include more vegetarian meals and healthy options.
You said… our customer service was fab but we fail on speed of service.
We did… introduce an Express Lunch service for jacket potatoes and filled sub
rolls.

Customer Notice
We purchase Resource branded products who donate money on our behalf to a charity called Cool
Earth www.coolearth.org
Cool Earth uses this money to buy acres of rainforest threatened by deforestation. This
protects the rainforest and prevents carbon dioxide being released into the
atmosphere. Together we have saved five acres of rainforest!
